During my last year in that country, a religious leader wrote an anonymous letter asking numerous governmental authorities to remove my children from me based on the fact that the parents were two men. They also asked the authorities to remove me and my husband from the country and not allow us to return. The police asked us to come in for an investigation. My husband and our two children who were fully adopted had to flee the country within a few hours.

The event will feature speeches from three Ambassadors; the deputy head of UNON; and most importantly, Kenyan LGBTI activists. Among them will be the Kenyan LGBTI group that has legally challenged Kenyan laws criminalizing sexual acts between males.
